Music
HCLC has a rich tradition of high quality music offered to God. There are many opportunities for music lovers to offer their talents in worship, beginner to advanced. Singing and playing in our ensembles is very fun and rewarding. Any member of the music program will tell you that in addition to getting a lot of work done we tend to have tangents of joking and laughter during rehearsal. It is very easy to get one on one training from a seasoned member if you are interested. Come join us for fellowship and fun as we praise God through music. Sanctuary Choir
Meets Thursday, 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm
The Sanctuary Choir is open to adults of any age. They provide musical leadership on hymns and liturgical songs during the service. Choral works by well-known composers such as David Cherwin and Don Besig are sung weekly. If interested in joining, please contact our Director of Music and Liturgy, Jeremy Shoop.
Joyful Ringers
Meets Thursday, 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm
The Joyful Ringers handbell choir use their musical talents to enrich worship once a month and on all major holiday services. In addition to ringing anthems regularly the Joyful Ringers also add a special flare to hymns and liturgical music. Some musical background is helpful to ring with this group. Chamber Ensembles
There are many instrumentalists at Holy Cross. Throughout the church year our musicians get together to form small ensembles such as duets, trios, quartets, and even full chamber orchestras. Small ensembles play frequently throughout the year and larger chamber orchestras play on major holiday and festival services. If interested in joining, please contact Jeremy Shoop.
Soloists
In addition to chamber ensembles, there are also many opportunities for instrumentalists and vocalist to offer solos for Sunday morning worship. Soloists of all ages and abilities are welcome. If interested for a special opportunity, please contact Jeremy Shoop.
